The sitem Center for Translational Medicine and Biomedical Entrepreneurship is a Center of the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern with foundations in education and research. The sitem Center aims to connect the best minds in Science, Clinical Care, Regulation and Management to advance medical technologies and improve patient care. The Centre's team of researchers work with clinicians of the Bern University Hospital, researchers of the University of Bern, and other national and international academic and industrial partners to bring the resources of the sitem insel platforms to advance translational research projects. The Center supports individuals in their scientific and entrepreneurial endouvers and provides expert advice for the development of funding proposals, matching services with industry collaborators and clinical partners, and hosts research projects in fields ranging from medical device development to health technology management. The sitem Center also offers studies in advanced education that train specialists in highly relevant topics of translational medicine and entrepreneurship that further aim to bridge the gap between clinical practice, research and business.
