Healthcare Regulation and Management

The Healthcare Regulation and Management group investigates the effects of regulatory measures in the healthcare sector. This includes the time from medical development to market approval or CE certificate (regulatory approval), as well as the period after approval, where the main focus is on the evaluation of health technologies (Health Technology Assessment). The group primarily uses quantitative statistical methods and examines research objects from an individual perspective, i.e., from a patient or company perspective, but also from a systems perspective. Within various projects, the group is internationally well connected with some of the most important health economic and health services research centres in Europe but and the USA.
